I flashed your latest firmware, it works very slowly, well, very slowly, there is a short and loud sound on the initial pineapple screensaver, and the inscription "safe mode" on the screen in the lower left corner. Could you port any previous GSE(8.1go, 10, 11, may be DumberOS) to this phone, perhaps earlier androids are less demanding of hardware?
p.s. Sometimes I can be a beta tester. Smile

Hi everyone,
I am sharing a modified ROM for the Rongyue E5 Global Edition.
The stock ROM on this device comes with heavily bugged Gapps and system apps, making it highly unstable and frustrating to use. This modification aims to provide a clean, smooth, and de-Googled experience.
Detailed Changelog & Modifications:
•Decrypted DATA Partition: Removed forceencrypt from the user data partition.
•De-Googled & Debloated: Completely stripped out Google Play Services (Gapps) and buggy stock system applications to restore performance.
•Custom Boot Animation: Replaced the stock boot animation with Buka Musume. The custom shutdown animation has been entirely removed for a faster power-off.
•KernelSU-Next Ready: The boot.img has been pre-patched. Simply install the KernelSU-Next manager application after flashing to gain full ROOT access.
•Setup Wizard Skipped: The initial setup wizard has been disabled. The system will boot straight to the home screen with English set as the default language.
📦 Pre-installed Essential Tools:
To make up for the lack of Gapps, I have pre-loaded the following lightweight and practical applications:
•File Manager+: Enhanced file management experience (Free Play Store version, Closed-source).
•Fossify Calendar: A clean replacement for Google Calendar (Open-source).
•Hail : Used for freezing unwanted background applications (Open-source).
•WADB: Easily enable Wireless ADB with one click (Open-source).
•EnforceDoze: Aggressive Doze mode configuration for better battery saving (Open-source).
•MKM (Modern Kernel Manager): For kernel tuning and monitoring (Open-source).
•Via Browser: Ultra-lightweight and fast web browser (Closed-source).
•Gramophone: A beautiful replacement for the buggy stock music app (Open-source).
• 💬 Disclaimer :
• Flash at your own risk. Ensure you back up your original firmware

[RECOVERY][BETA] TWRP for Rongyue E5 (First Release / Hovatek Version)
This TWRP build includes an unlocked and modified low-level firmware (bootloader/lk) to function properly, which carries certain risks. If you decide to flash this firmware, please make a full backup of your stock firmware beforehand just in case.
Since the stock low-level firmware does not support physical button combos to boot into Recovery, I successfully enabled the Recovery boot functionality by decompiling and modifying the uboot (and other core components).
It is currently in the BETA stage. The verified working features are ADB and Fastbootd (Note: when flashing an .img via fastbootd, you must explicitly specify the slot, e.g., _a or _b, as it won't automatically flash to the current active slot). Data decryption is not supported by default.
Also, if any Hovatek administrator sees this post, could you please help me look into how to fix the MTP issue? I did not use TW_EXCLUDE_MTP := true in my build config. In fact, whether I set it to false or leave it out entirely, the system somehow defaults to enabling TW_EXCLUDE_MTP := true.
That being said, I am incredibly grateful for the amazing compilation tools and guides provided by Hovatek, which have been an immense help to newbies like us!"

🕹️ How to Boot into Recovery Mode:
You can boot into TWRP using either of the following methods:
1. Physical Button Combo:
Press and hold the Volume Up + Power button (Make sure to press and hold Volume Up first, then press the Power button).
2. via ADB Command:
Connect your device to a PC and execute the following command:
bash
adb reboot recovery

You'll need to modify your init.rc or other *.rc files it references, adding necessary inputs to enable MTP.
You can do this in our tool using a patch.zip (I've attached a sample below)
Alternatively, we could send you the device tree for your Work ID if you wish.

Even when modifying the device tree, the automated TWRP builder still fails to fix the MTP issue. It seems MTP support was already stripped out on the automated compilation side. On the other hand, the TWRP I compiled myself via GitHub Actions does include MTP functionality, though it currently has too many bugs to be released yet.

I see..
You could DM a link to the device tree. It should give hints on addressing the MTP issue you're encountering with our builder

Fixed MTP issue from the previous build (Resolved the bug where MTP would occasionally fail to start due to issues with the /data partition failing to mount when booting into TWRP).
