CRITICAL TIP (A/B Partition Devices): How to Fix "Slot Lockout" & Boot Failure After Repeated Reboots
The Issue (Why this happens):
On modern A/B partition devices, Android has a built-in boot-attempt counter (typically 3 to 7 tries). If the device reboots or bootloops multiple times consecutively, the Bootloader automatically flags the active slot (usually Slot A) as UNBOOTABLE (successful_boot=0).
Once marked unbootable, the device completely refuses to boot into the system and locks up.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You MUST perform this fix via PC in Bootloader (Fastboot) mode! Do NOT rely on TWRP's internal slot-switching buttons, as TWRP has compatibility issues with Unisoc's boot control HAL and will not switch slots properly.
Step-by-Step Fix via Bootloader (Fastboot):
1. Boot into TWRP Recovery:
- Power off the device completely (or pull the battery and reinsert).
- Press and hold Volume Up + Power until TWRP appears.
2. Reboot to Bootloader (Fastboot Mode):
- In TWRP, tap Reboot ➔ select Bootloader.
- Your device is now in real Fastboot mode.
3. Run Commands on PC:
- Connect the phone to your PC, open CMD / Terminal, and run:

Flashing & Dual-OS Switching Guide

2. Choose Your ROM:
- To flash Android 15 (Default): Simply extract the archive and proceed to Step 3. No file modifications needed.
- To flash Android 14 (TECNO Beta): Open the folder named TECNO-Android14-Beta-DTS-Audio,Face-Unlock(Copy to data folder before flashing), copy all files inside, and paste/overwrite them into the root data folder.
3. Run Flashing Script: Right-click 02.[Flash_Mode]_One_Click_Flash_Wipes_User_Data.bat and select Run as Administrator.
4. How to Enter BROM / Flash Mode:
- Power off the phone completely.
- Press and hold the physical [BACK] key on the keypad.
- While holding the key, connect the USB cable from your PC to the phone. The script will automatically detect the device and complete the flashing process.
Universal Known Bugs (Both ROMs)
1. Keypad Dialer Limitation: Due to AOSP framework limitations on keypad devices, pressing physical number keys on the home screen will not automatically bring up the dialer. Making and answering calls must be operated via the touchscreen.
2. Stock Camera Shutter Bug: The stock camera app only accepts volume buttons as the physical shutter. However, third-party OpenCamera is bundled in the package—installing OpenCamera completely resolves physical keypad shutter capture and eliminates UI layout scaling issues.
Universal Notes & Troubleshooting (For All ROMs)
• FRP Lock / Google Setup Wizard Bypass Trick:
If you are stuck at the Google Setup Wizard after booting due to captive portal / network connection issues, boot the phone into Fastboot Mode and run the following command in terminal:
