no, you can't flash an SPD device using sp flash tool
if you have a single custom image without a pac file then you'll need to unlock bootloader and flash using fastboot
but if you have a pac file then you can flash using research download tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-1231.html (ensure to untick everything else except fdl1&2 and the partition you intend flashing)

depends on the option you select while flashing, the only way to leave data untouched is if you use "download only" and you untick userdata while flashing, every other option has something to do with formatting first or overwriting userdata

In the V6 series of SP flash tool, it is asking for flash.xml file instead of mtk scattered.txt. Now, How to manage?
Is there any way to convert that scattered.txt to flash.xml for SP flash tool?

simple, stick to v5 if your firmware isn't v6 compatible

1. I'm talking about mediatek firmware, Is there any way to convert v5 firmware to v6 compatible?
2. Like the v5firmware, we can back-up the factory signed firmware from a working device using SP flash tool and use that backed up firmware on other similar devices with SP flash tool. Just like there are so many firmware available on this forum under "android firmware" section.
Similarly, How can I backup my infinix note7 working firmware for V6 compatibility and use it later with SP flash tool version6?
