(29-10-2022, 04:24 AM)k1ng1 this is another question sir, i found out that while unlocking bootloader(official method) it will send command to wipe the data of the phone.

i want to ask if its ok to unlock the bootloader first before wiping the userdata like this:

unlock bootloader- python mtk da seccfg unlock

then wipe data- python mtk e metadata,userdata,md_udc

pls answer if this is ok.

It shouldn't matter

So that means its ok without any problem? if it is thank you for answering it.

dude you need to delete your mtk client and download the latest one and don't use powershell while installing it instead use CMD and delete your python and reinstall it with latest version of python and i checked the link -------> https://pypi.org/simple/PySide6/   it has the PySide6 repo.

try this method it might solve your problem.

use power key combination
1. vol down + power button
2. vol up + power button
3. vol up and down + power button

try them 1 by 1 and see if you can boot into brom mode take not that you might need to connect the small head of the cable in your phone then while holding the power combination above connect the another end of the usb to the pc and see if it works

The more I read up on these forums, I realize how little I truly know about MTK and Flashing, and unlocking in General, could you please provide a link to any really good basic information about this process in general, more specific to MTK chipsets, Im more curious as to what the choices really mean once youre in the utilities as there are many and while most probably wont apply. Im just trying to understand, Ive come a long way but as I continue to aimlessly wander the internet, i realize there is way too much info about this out there and it all appears different, this forum is the only one that has made the most sense and has gotten me the furthest, while I have almost been able to unlock my own phone, I now want to do it myself. I read some of the questions on here and even i can see the bricked phone coming a mile away, i dont want to do that myself so maybe some basics are in order please and thanks much

Important Notice
  • How you boot into BROM varies with device so look it up for your model.
  • To re-lock Bootloader wipe seccfg or run
    Code:

    python mtk xflash seccfg lock
    or
    Code:

    python mtk da seccfg lock
  • If you encounter an error using python in commands then try py -3
  • If you get '[LIB]: ←[31mError on sending emi: unpack requires a buffer of 12 bytes←[0m' then delete mtkclient/Loader/MTK_AllInOne_DA_5.1824.bin
  • If you get '[LIB]: ←[33mNo preloader given. Operation may fail due to missing dram setup.←[0m
DAXFlash - Uploading stage 2...' then ensure to add the --preloader flag with the preloader.bin for your model
  • If you encounter 'pip3' is not recognized as an internal command or external, an operable program or a batch file. then try
    Code:

    py -3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt
  • You can also use MTK Client GUI by running

Video Transcript
Quote:In this video tutorial, I'll be explaining how to unlock the Bootloader of a Mediatek Android device using mtkclient. First, you need to have installed your Mediatek VCOM drivers, you also need to have installed usbdk drivers, I'll link to these. Then you need to install python also, preferably the latest python and make sure you tick install environmental variable and then you need to download mtkclient. I'll link to all these alright? Now, once you have this in place, you open the MTKclient, right-click up here, click copy address, you open command prompt, and you cd to the mtkclient directory. Now, from this directory, you run the following commands. I already ran this command. Now, to unlock the bootloader, you run this command.

Your partitions might vary. I'm working on an LG K51. Now, you power off the device and boot it to BROM mode. Your button combination might vary. For this K51, its volume down and Google Home key buttons so I'll hold these and connect ..and release and finally, you run this command. I'm going to have to disconnect and re-run so.. I need to first power off my K51 to run the second command or to execute it rather. BROM mode and connect. So now you can disconnect and power up and your bootloader should be unlocked. So that's how to unlock the bootloader of a Mediatek Android device using mtkclient

Ok, so I'm working on Rooting my Revvl 6 5G - MT6833 - (MetroPCS)... I followed the guide almost to the letter, but I forgot to pre-wipe user data and ow the MT6833 is stuck in a bootloop. I can't trick the handset into any mode except BRom Mode. So I followed the guide again and used:
Code:

py -3 mtk e metadata,userdata
Tricked the MT6833 into BRom Mode, ad cmdlet goes through with a successful finish. However, when I turn the phone back on it is still in a bootloop. So, I repeated the process several times, each reaching a successful finish. Several times I have tried to trick the handset into boot mode by holding the volume + and power buttons as I turn it on, to no avail.

Bootloader is still unlocked, and the only error I am receiving during the partition wipe is a;

xflashext - [LIB]: Error on patching da1 version check...

Am I doing something wrong? Actually, what is it that I am doing wrong? I'm current on my Python, Git, ad MTKClient Installs. May I receive some assistance?
