This guide will explain how to use NCK Box to format a single partition on Mediatek (MTK) Android devices. It is very important to get the partition address from your phone model's scatter file else formatting a wrong partition could lead to a serious problem.

There are several reasons why one might want to format a single partition on an MTK device. One such example is when your device is FRP locked, all you need do is to format only FRP partition. Say you need to perform a factory reset but are unable to boot into recovery mode for some reason, all you need is to format userdata and cache partitions. The procedure below will show how you can achieve this.

Requirements

Important Notice
  • NCK Pro Box requires a hardware box to work. Installing and running the Module without the hardware won't work
  • If you are running a loader version then your antivirus might flag it. You are responsible for allowing the tool to run anyway
  • It is important you do not interrupt the formatting process else the device could get bricked.
  • Avoid using a random scatter file (even though its for your chipset). Just because a scatter file is for your chipset doesn't mean it contains the same partition info. Formatting with a wrong scatter file could result in more problems than you initially intended to fix.
  • If your device has secure boot, then check out our secure boot DA collection section
