This guide will teach you how to use GSM Aladdin Box to flash a Mediatek (MTK) android phone's firmware in scatter format.
Requirements:
- Download the latest version of GSM Aladdin box
- Install Mediatek VCOM drivers on the PC
- Obtain a GSM Aladdin backup
Steps to flash a Mediatek (MTK) phone using GSM Aladdin Box
Follow the steps below to use GSM Aladdin to flash Mediatek devices
- Extract the content of the GSM Aladdin zip and double-click GSM Aladdin 1.34.exe
- Click the Mediatek tab
- Tick WriteFlash
- Select your chipset type under Model Option or leave as Auto Detect if not sure
- Set to USB
- Click the Browse icon at the bottom right corner
- Navigate to the location of the backup, select the Scatter file then click Open
- Click Connect (at the top)
- Click Start
- Connect the phone (via USB) while switched off and with a charged battery inside
- The phone should get detected
- A box should popup, tick the partitions you wish to flash to the phone
- You should now see >>> Writing Flash Wait...
- Flashing should begin, do not interrupt
- Once flashing is done, you should see Write Done 100% . Disconnect the phone then boot
Important Notice
- GSM Alladin ideally requires a hardware box. Running the setup without one won't work
- If you are using a loader version (no hardware box required) then your antivirus might flag it. You are entirely responsible for your decision to heed or ignore
- You should only flash firmware for your phone model. Doing otherwise could brick it
- Avoid interrupting the flashing process because that could cause the device to go dead
- For best compatibility, flash back GSM Aladdin box backups using the tool
- For Secure Boot devices, you'll need to load the DA file
