[Please help] Infinix model X559C Build X599-H815C-N-170719v71

Hello,
I have an Infinix hot 5 model X559C Build X599-H815C-N-170719v71. It has problems connecting to google servers so thought of installing a custom rom. Fast foward, I recently found there is a HiOS custom rom for Infinix X559C that I would want to install but I am having challenges installing custom recovery and rooting the device.
Kindly help with step by step guide to resolve my issue.

focusing on the connection issue, have you tried
clearing app data and uninstalling updates for the particular google apps not connect?
using a different internet connection?
factory resetting the device?

Google announced that they'll be blacklisting unauthorized devices from using google apps, don't know if they've put that into effect yet.
