[Error Codes] List of sp flash tool error codes, meanings & how to fix (solution)
(05-11-2017, 08:41 PM)jafabyte I was trying to flash a stock ROM on Tecno m9 With SP Flash tool version Version 5.x.x but I keep getting error message ERROR :?? (8). What does this message imply cos this message is not included in your list of SP Flash tool Error.Please help me as my phone won't come after I press the power on button. It doesn't even show the battery charging sign when I plug in directly to the electricity supply.

Latest I downloaded the MTK drivers and it fixed my errors.

Message: ERROR STATUS_EXT_RAM_EXCEPTION (0xC0050005)
Meaning: The firmware you're trying to flash is either not compatible with your device or you have selected the wrong flashing settings
Solution:
- Ensure that the file(s) you're trying to flash are actually for your exact phone model
- Ensure you tick the boxes for only the files present in the ROM you're about to flash

PS: the phone does not turn on, it is dead, but when I connect to the computer it just connects and disconnects, spft tries to make the flash but it hangs in the red loading bar at 100% and stays on it for a few seconds until I get the error. Any solution?

Consider trying a different firmware
(15-03-2018, 06:21 AM)Paul Graham I've run into a problem that doesn't have an error attached to it. I can install the software and load the correct scatter-file, but when I try to select the recovery checkbox nothing happens. Redownloading the files and reinstalling SP Flash Tool don't resolve the issue.
