This guide will explain how to use Cheetah Tool Pro to restore Unisoc/Spreadtrum firmware backup/dump

Steps to use Cheetah Tool Pro to restore Unisoc/Spreadtrum firmware dump


Follow the steps to restore a firmware backup using Cheetah Tool Pro

  1. Launch Cheetah Tool Pro

  2. Click the Spreadtrum tab

  3. Choose your brand and model from the dropdown. If not found then choose Spreadtrum (at the bottom of the list) and your chipset

  4. Click the Flash tab

  5. Choose Readback file under Firmware type

  6. Click the button in front of Firmware type and select the folder where the backup files are located

  7. Click Back once the files are loaded

  8. Tick the partitions you wish to restore

  9. Click Flash

  10. Power off the device, hold your boot key (could be volume down, volume down + power or volume up + power depending on your device ) and connect to the PC via USB cable

  11. The device should get detected

  12. Wait while the backup is restored

  13. You should see Reboot..Okay once restore is done

Important Notice
  • If you encounter an [PROTOCOL ERR] BSL_REP_OPERATION_FAILED [0x00000084] error then untick Protect Repartition
