(10-07-2024, 02:59 PM)spanish2 thanks for all the replies thus far. i have gotten a utility called MTKClient GUI 2.0 which works very easily. i flashed the firmware files... however i still get the secure boot fail dm verity corrupted error.  i emailed TCL to see if i can get the correct firmware. also i had purchased a rom from romdevelopers.com that includes the scatter file. However this rom looks like it's for the boost mobile version (they could of specified that before i purchased it.....waste of money) i have three roms downloaded. none worked when i flashed them. always phone remained blank no power. i left it overnight and when i woke up this morning it powered on but with the same error. how hard can it be to fix this dm verity issue. oh i forgot to mention i tried unlocking the bootloader  but that didn't seem to work.

did you try unlocking the bootloader using mtk client?

yes i did.. but with the other mtk gui program. i will try again and report back
Here is a screenshot of trying to unlock the bootloader.

(05-07-2024, 11:54 AM)spanish2 Good day everyone . i really need some help. i got a tcl 30 xe phone to unlock for someone.  i tried removing frp  via samfirm tool (there is a mediatek section) upon restarting the phone the secure boot fail error comes up and the phone is unable to go past the boot logo. i tried unlocking the bootloader with the Sam firmware tool but no luck. i could boot the phone in recovery but only three options is there: wipe date, reboot phone and power off. i also downloaded android utility to try to disable dm verity but no go. i have downloaded firmware for the device one is tmobile and the other is boost mobile. however when i try flashing the vbmeta files, i get secure auth failure.. need a valid certificate file. i am at a lost as what to do next.

Hello,
To remove FRP on a TCL 30 XE phone using SamFirm tool's MediaTek section, encountering a "secure boot fail" error has halted the boot process. Booting into recovery only offers basic options like data wipe, reboot, and power off. You can try to unlock the bootloader and flashing vbmeta files resulted in "secure auth failure." To proceed, ensure you have the correct firmware and vbmeta files for your phone's model and region.

When I select firmware upgrade....verified boot error comes up for some files and I cannot proceed. Please ensure that you get verified (name of file.img) message. So it seems like the protected partitions are not getting flash due to the locked bootloader. I don't understand what to do right now this is frustrating me. I am thinking of trying the verified boot flashing technique I saw somewhere on this forum...but I don't have a scatter file for the T-Mobile firmware only the boost firmware. I don't want to complicate things any further. The good thing is the phone is not bricked too hard...even though after flashing the files and getting the errors...after a while it can boot with the same error message.

How many partitions are not getting flashed? Untick them and flash the rest.

Use MTK client to flash those partitions after
