I have not been able to make it work.
No matter what I do and how:
Connection in power off or on while pressing Power button or not for whatever length of time...
MTKClient keeps repeating the Port Hint Cycle until Keyboard interruption.
I wanted to try using Linux but never got even far enough in installation.
The designated LiveDVD does not support given install orders.
And after figuring out how to use the proper packet manager, packages wouldn´t install because of being defined as corrupted.
Any other way to go?
Leave bootloader unlock for now.
Go to Assayyed folder and check the unpacked system folder. Look under /system/apps , you still see the apps you disabled right?
Next, run the deodex operation then build for flashing (as .img not as zip) operation in assayyed
If this approach fails then we look at TWRP or CWM custom recovery and rename/backup/delete this file: /data/system/users/0/package-restrictions.xml

Hello,
when I look into /system/apps then I do see a list of app-folders, is this a list of disabled apps only?
For an overall installed apps list it seems far to short and at least the navigational app is not existent in this list.
Is there an app that you can identify as definitely system relevant?

So I started assayyed and typed >2< for deodexing project. It said "It seems this ROM already Deodexed"... needing keyboard interruption.
Then I followed the guide through from where I left off right before "Step 2: Tweaking / Optimizing the ROM"

Output is Rom.zip with Meta-inf and content, boot.img and system.img

I want to confirm. Does the device show Boot logo or animation when you try to boot it?

please see for yourself:
It switches on
and then either stays there or mostly gets a backlighted black screen
or sometime is horzontal partly one plus the other.
And here you can see the difference when really switched off

Port Philz recovery; Use v1.5 https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21495.html and recovery.img from your backup
flash the philz recovery to the boot partition then check if the tablet enters Philz recovery mode when it boots
