This guide will explain how to use FutureRestore GUI in Windows to downgrade the software version of an iOS device. This guide uses an iPhone 6s as a demo and downgrades from iOS 15.7.5 to iOS 15.7.2.
Connect the device via cable (while powered on) then click Start FutureRestore
Wait while FutureRestore flashes the firmware. The device might reboot or show certain colors on the screen
You should get a Done message once the downgrade is complete
Important Notice
If FutureRestore doesn't detect the device then boot into DFU mode and re-click Start FutureRestore
If your device gets stuck at failed to retrieve configuration then ensure you're connected to the internet. If it persists then restore the iTunes backup you had made prior to the downgrade
If you encounter parsing firmware.json failed then ensure you're connected to the internet and repeat the process
If you encounter ERROR: Unable to send iBEC then open Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers and uninstall Apple Recovery (iRoot) USB Composite Device then click Scan for hardware changes and retry FutureRestore
If you encounter Device ApNonce does not match APTicket nonce then open the blob file using a notepad, Search for generator, below that will be something like <string>YOUR_GENERATOR</string>, copy the text between <string></string> i.e YOUR_GENERATOR and change your device's generator to this string. If you have Jailbroken your device then you can do this from a terminal app like NewTerm 2 using the command
Code:
nvram com.apple.System.boot-nonce=YOUR_GENERATOR
