Quote:In this video tutorial, I'll be explaining how to flash firmware to an LG Android device using LGUP command line tool. Now, this is a bit different from the GUI method or the GUI tool. Now, you need to have first installed your drivers, you need to have the LGUP command line, you need to have your dll and you need to have your kdz. You also need to have installed your drivers of course and boot the device into download mode. To do that, you power off the device, you hold the volume increase button, you connect it to the PC via the USB cable and keep holding the button till it enters download mode and you're good to go.

Now, I'm going to copy the address and launch command prompt. This is a command line tool as I earlier mentioned. So I'm going to cd to the location that is cd space the location and I'm in the command line directory. Alright, so here's how the command is going to be LGUP_Cmd .. you need to get the file name correctly .exe space the COM Port where the device is detected. Now, to find that, you open device manager on your PC. Its very important that the device is connected in download mode to the PC if not, you'll not have a detection. So, I have LG mobile usb serial port COM 7, so I input 7 there space then in quotes, you're going to enter the address of the dll file, the location. So I've copied the address of this folder then I'll add the file name LGUP_Common.dll . Then don't forget to close it.. then (alarm) another... this is the directory of the kdz so I copy the same address since they're in the same directory and then input the name of the kdz, the file name of the kdz. So this is what it looks like.

Now, you copy everything and then you go paste it in the command prompt. make sure you have the formatting correctly. You can see what it looks like. Alright, everything is good, we're ready to copy. Then you go to command prompt and you paste then you tap Enter. You should see the progress bar on the device also in download mode. Just ensure you don't interrupt the process. Just leave it till its done, 100%. Alright, done. So that's how to flash firmware to an LG Android device using LGUP command line tool
