Wonderful !! Many thanks ! I had been looking how to root this mobile like crazy, I have just bought it (version 8GB/128GB) and it works. I had straight gone to method number 3 as it comes with Android 10. Flashed the provided vbmeta.img file, then flashed the boot image file created with Magisk (and previously extracted from the Stock ROM). I had rebooted the device and voilà ! I got it rooted, checked it on Magisk and it works perfect !
Thanks a lot ! It is a shame there are no good tutorials for this and information is scarce. I was flashing the patched boot image that was given from Magisk but of course I had to overcome the dm-verity issue.

Hi! Yes I was able to unlock the bootloader under fastboot. You can also try doing it with MTKroot currently at version 2.5.6.
You have to install MTK drivers (for this phone) in order to do that, also check under developer's option that usb debug and unlock bootloader is ticked.

im looking to unroot my phone (cause i wanna play pokemon go) but when i flashed stocked boot img it was fine but the stock vb meta flipped everything up when i flashed an empty vb meta it stopped saying orange state and i made sure bootloader was unlocked so i dont know what to do

this is someone's thread, create a new thread for this by clicking "ask question" at the top
in the new thread, explain what happens when you flash back stock vbmeta and did you try flashing the full stock firmware?
