Hello,

I have a Lenovo TB-8505X tablet that looks completely bricked (not powering up).
However, when I try running the exploit (windows/linux) I got:

Code:

Waiting for device Found port = /dev/ttyACM0 Device hw code: (masked) Device hw sub code: (masked) Device hw version: (masked) Device sw version: (masked) Device secure boot: True Device serial link authorization: False Device download agent authorization: True Disabling watchdog timer Disabling protection [Errno 5] Input/Output Error Payload did not reply

Using the SP flash tool (using stock ROM files), I got:

Code:

ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL 0xC0060003

Thank you in advance for any clue.

download this factory firmware @ https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/len...01_BMP.zip
within the firmware, you should find the DA and auth for this model. you can use the da and auth but don't forget to remove filter and switch uart back to usb in spft

if you can, help upload and send a link to both file i.e da and auth

@X3non:

Thank you very much for your time!

I've just tried that specific ROM but it went even worse: I've got an error message (an alert window with no details) and now the device isn't recognized anymore. Sad

I've selected the right DA, scatter and auth files and I switched to USB connection. Btw, what filter were you talking about? ("you can use the da and auth but don't forget to remove filter")

(update)

I left it on a charger for awhile and now I found that it's discoverable again (how come?).

Anyway, I won't run another test till I don't fully get your recommendations. So, could you suggest a step-by-step configuration of that SP flash tool?

Do you recommend any specific spft version, too? I was using v5.1924 (windows) or v5.2052 (linux).

Thanks alot!

in your OP, you mentioned you tried the mtk bypass utility, which means you must have installed a device filter as seen in step 3 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-37957.html
you're to remove the filter before attempting to flash using the da & auth file
