But down right corner am seeing something like EMMC(28Gb+8192Mb), am not sure if this is right. Then on saving the scattered file as PMT fat was included when I load it but no file was attached to it.

Apparently you dont. Manually install Vcom drivers using this guide @ http://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-440.html .if it still persists after manual installation then lets know

use version 2.5.3 instead . Make a clockwokrmod backup too so you can get userdata and cache from the cwm backup. You could also try MTK tools version 2.3.0 , this particular version allows you backup userdata and cache.
When you have all files, go for firmware upgrade
