Hello...
I tried to use Hovatek Mtk Twrp auto porter to port TWRP to Tecno L9 plus.
The stock Recovery was in (.bin) and the Auto porter could not see it. So, i renamed it to (.img).
It was now able to read it. After d porting has been done., the output recovery was in (.img) format. I tried to use Miracle box to flash it to the phone, Miracle box didnt see it even after copying the preloader nd Scatter file with it in d same folder.
I tried to use SP flash tool (v5.16) too, didnt read at all.
What's the way out pls...? Help... I need d TWRP seriously...

you're to rename ported recovery back to recovery.bin for Miracle to identify the image.

I renamed it back to .bin. Of course miracle box read it n flashed it. Buh when i tried to boot into recovery, it was powering on and off itself... Would not even boot to welcome screen... Stuck at dat TECNO.... I jux had to flash back d stock recovery. Then it was normal. Changing of the file extension didnt work... And the Auto Porter would not see the Stock Recovery in .bin extension.

Sir, I have the Philz recovery. I use it. But it's process of backing up data is somehow. It's the reason why I created this thread here : https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-22770.html
It backs up everything on ur internal storage... Mine is 16Gb, and I've used more dan 70% of it. And whenever i tried to backup my application n settings data, everything, videos, musics, pictures, game file (e.g Asphalt 8 airborne), documents, on d storage goes with it and d backup up size ends up swallowing ur available space.
The other flaw of the Philz recovery is if u try to use Philz recovery to wipe data, it wipes everything on d storage just as if u are doing the factory reset from the phone backup n reset in setting...
But, these are not on TWRP... I once used it on Tecno L8 plus. It's very Okay... Awesome. That's why I asked for alternative means in the thread I created earlier ( https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-22770.html ). And I was given the option of Auto TWRP porter... Which is not working.

Any other way out, pls?
