Why are versions 1.2+ still in beta? Does version 1.6 support Android 9 (Pie) only?

and yes v1.6 supported pie only, older versions of the tool are still available for download for people with older android versions

That's actually why I'm asking. I'm a learning developer and I've seen the softwares on beta for a long time.

ok, in the case of our twrp porter, it'll remain in beta cause there's no possible way to test it on all the devices out there (there's probably thousands of android phones available rn) and one thing is certain, its not guaranteed to work on all devices. there will be bugs ranging from twrp not working, mount point issues, touch issues, e.t.c

you could try using WINE on linux to run windows softwares OR vmware fusion on mac or create a new thread for your device and post a link to your stock recovery.img and maybe someone will be willing to help you port twrp
