How to root the Tecno Phantom 6 Plus (A9)

I flashed twrp recovery into my phone when I lunch it by pressing volume up and power key it enter recovery mode but the twrp becomes unresponsive I can't select any option
But when I boot into recovery mode using adb command It responds and I can select any option
And I really want to use twrp for my recovery mode I need a solution please
