[Tutorial] How to use SP Flash Tool to flash Mediatek firmware

Trying to flash my softbricked lenovo tab 2 A10-70F with stock firmware. I've tried on a windows 10, 8.1, and 7 machine but all have the same issue. Steps taken
1. Disable windows driver signature verification
2. Manually install VCOM drivers through legacy menu
3. Load SP Flash v5.1524.00.000
4. Load scatter file (all images autopopulate)
5. Click download
6. Turn tablet off and plug it in
7. Flash tool finds tablet and hangs for about 60 seconds until the attached error message pops up

tried just flashing the system image but still have the same problem
