No, this tool doesn't port custom recovery, it can only unpack and repack content of a .img file

the error is plain and simple
something is missing from within the folder you're trying to repack. refer to step 8 of the unpack guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15817.html
your folder should look similar to the screenshot

hi expert! thank you.

i was able to BUILD my own recovery.img for myphone. and now my phone have costum recovery TWRP.

happy with that))

story was - for my phone No one build yet recovery. coz it NO NAME brand. so i porting IMG from other phone for my phone unpack & pack
again.

MyPhone myA16, android 8.1.0 . Cheap- MT6580M

hi, I tried to use this tool to unpack a stock boot.img, the tool "unpackbootimg.exe" crashed when unpacking my boot.img. (kernel address analysis is done), Can you help or did I do something wrong step?
