I see the same thing - romdump_v82b just contains a elf file called romdump. And that file contains the following:

hello are partition in firmwares or they are two different things what's their difference

partition(s) refers to different sections or segments in a storage device
firmware in android contains files meant to be written to certain partitions on a device
