Update: I switched to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit running on VMWare (virtualbox running tinycorelinux was too unreliable) everything's going good but I haven't unlocked my phone yet, I don't know the possibility of getting bricked. The modified fastboot won't work on any linux systems it must be an Ubuntu 64-bit distro

Another update: lol it failed but I'm not getting a "FAILED (remote: 'unknown cmd.') fastboot: error: Command failed" instead I'm getting "remote unlock failed"
