warranty has nothing to do with receiving OTA updates, btw you need to flash nougat rom as this is the only way you'll be able to tell if the problem is a result of the new update or not

please how about flashing just stock boot img from nougat firmware?

As concerning flasling rom, please is there a way of flashing only boot img of the firmware. because the firmware version is nougat while the one in device currently is oreo. And i want this oreo version. Still searching for either ota version of oreo...thanks

Thanks for your quality time going through it. appreciate. I have never used the sony flash tool though have downloaded it since I never performed firmware flashing on my device before, I only used the adb fastboot to flash boot-img and custom recovery which is the only flash performed on device.

Please this device again. After when battery drained while in pocket trying to recharge is something else. Is been on charger for over 6 hours but no power in battery.

Have you tried disconnecting/reconnecting the phone's battery?

Thanks Innagee. I even got another charging port board but still same thing. Have disconnected the battery. let me give it sometime before reconnecting it.
