The Gionee M6S Plus is a Qualcomm MSM8976SG Snapdragon 653 powered phone running on Android 6 (Marshmallow). This phone might not ship with Gapps (Google apps like Gmail, Youtube etc) so you would want to read up https://www.hovatek.com/blog/your-androi...asy-steps/ to know how to get Gapps working.
Steps to root Gionee M6S Plus
- Unlock the phone's Bootloader using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-19578.html (you use fastboot oem unlock-go for this device )
- Download the latest version of Magisk zip at https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/ma...s-t3473445
- Download the latest version of no verity op encrypt.zip (this is to disable device-mapper-verity or dm-verity and forced encryption) at https://build.nethunter.com/android-tool...t-encrypt/
- Save Magisk.zip and no verity op encrypt.zip to both phone storage and SD card
- Download TWRP for Gionee M6S Plus ported by Team Hovatek at https://mega.nz/#!5ShEUASY!LbM-ypcP1mLlw...-igjtBX9J0
- Unzip the TWRP zip and copy the recovery.img into the same folder as adb.exe and fastboot.exe
- Boot the phone into fastboot / bootloader mode and then into TWRP recovery mode using the following commands
Code:adb reboot-bootloader fastboot boot recovery.img - The phone should automatically boot into TWRP recovery mode
- If prompted to modify system, select KEEP READ ONLY
- Tap Install
- Navigate to the location of no verity op encrypt.zip . Select it then swipe to flash
- Do the same for Magisk.zip
- Reboot the phone
- Verify root using a root checker

The above method told by admin works flawlessly. Your device will have root access.But I just want to warn enthusiasts who wants to flash gapps like me using TWRP. Please DONOT flash gapps from twrp. I repeat once again PLEASE DONOT FLASH GAPPS from TWRP. Find some other method. I flashed gapps pico.zip from twrp and I bricked my phone. Unfortunately this phone can be repaired only in Chinese service centers and not in other countries service center.

2.download above TWRP (extract recovery.img)
3.PC flash the factory rom from 金立M6S Plus线刷包.zip ( replace recovery.img with 2. )
4. enter recovery and flash superSU
5.clear cach and reboot

and you can update 3.5.3 from gionee factory and straight flash twrp again ( after flash factory rom your twrp will gone after reboot, so flash twrp

twrp not read microSD

in twrp, mount usb, you can transfer files to internal memory

you can remove system rubbish
----------------------------------------------
still can not get " google play services " work

i have flashed recovery that ported by MTK Auto Philz Recovery Porter V1.5 by Team Hovatek
i can flash supersu.zip or magisk.zip successful ,but i flash no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip by recovery,it saied unpacking boot image failed
