This is a step-by-step guide on how to unlock a Huawei E5172s-920 4G LTE CPE branded/locked to Swift 4G Nigeria.

Steps to unlock a Huawei E5172s-920 / SWIFT 4G LTE CPE Router

This unlock method takes less than a minute as described below

Purchase the unlock code
Once you've received the unlock code, replace the SIM card with that of another network (a Non-SWIFT SIM card) . See how to remove the SIM card from a Huawei E5172s-920 router to take out the SIM card
Switch on the Hub and connect to it via Wi-Fi or LAN cable
In your address bar, visit http://homerouter.cpe , 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.8.1
Click Login at the top. If you haven't changed your login credentials then use:

Default username: user
Default password: user

If the above credentials don't work then try

Default username: admin
Default password: admin
You should now be in the Home page
Navigate to Internet > SIM lock
Enter the unlock code you purchased and click Submit
If the unlock code is correct, the SIM lock tab option should now disappear
You can now use any SIM card on your SWIFT 4G LTE Hub

Important Notice

This guide has avoided recommending a particular website/source for purchasing the unlock code to avoid being blamed for a bad user experience by another website
It's important you avoid entering incorrect unlock codes too many times as this would exhaust the unlock quota
Once unlocked, you can use a SIM from any 4G network which supports a band also supported by the router/modem

After unlocking there is no way to add APN to use for other GSM network, is there a way to add APN or to upgrade / downgrade the dashboard, maybe with that it will be easier to add APN

hey please i updated my spectranet 4 lte router to swift 4g and is asking me for unlock code and i dont know if u can help me with the unlock code i have been trying for months now still i have 5 trails let please and please help me out
