Hello friends, I have a Umidigi A13Pro device, using Unisoc T610 chip, that is no longer receiving patches from the manufacturer and is stuck on Android 11.

Umidigi makes another device - G1Max - that looks to be very similar to my A13Pro including the Unisoc T610. However, this device runs Android 12!

I would like to try and bring my A13Pro up to Android 12 using the firmware for the G1 Max, if possible.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I should get started? I have some experience with Android custom ROMs but I am no pro

Why not use a custom ROM or GSI?

Hi maxpayne, sadly there is nobody working on a custom ROM for this device, maybe I am the first!

I think your GSI idea is the best, but there are many reports of Android 12 and newer GSI not working well on Android 11 Unisoc devices due to vendor firmware issues.

I think I will flash an Android 12 GSI and see if I can manually update some of the vendor blobs using the newer G3Max Android 12 .pac file. Of course I will do a full backup first!

Mediatek Course Mediatek Course

Hello minuga.fernando77 I have the G1 Max Android 12 firmware running on our A13 Pro! It has many problems though and I would not use it on my daily phone. The biggest problem left is this:

The G1 Max (6.5inch) screen is physically slightly smaller than our A13 Pro (6.7 inch), and has a slightly different resolution(1600*720 vs our 1650*720) and so it of course also has a different aspect ratio. This means there is a centimetre or so part of the bottom of the LCD display that shows garbled graphics at all times.

My phone is bootloader unlocked and rooted with Magisk. I tried using "wm size" commands in ADB and editing build.prop to force the display size but it doesn't seem to work. I tried editing dtbo.img but every time I flash it the device bootloops and needs to be recovered using Research Download.

Does anyone know how I can force the physical display size of the A13 Pro onto the G1 Max firmware?

Try Flashing LineageOS 19 GSI, works great for me with no resolution issues.
