Just go to phh settings and toggle on Bluetooth workaround and dpe mode

I think I tried that once and it didn't work for me, but more importantly I think I'm going to stick with the stock firmware for now.

I can't get the headphone jack working on Android 12 GSI but more importantly I can't get the A12 (or newer) GSI to perform as well as the stock firmware.

I'll focus on rooting & modding the stock firmware for now to see how much performance can be squeezed out of this device!

U can root with stock boot or flash magsik with twrp

Yes, I could never get TWRP working but I was able to flash the Magisk-patched stock bootloader!
