SP Flash Tool Unable To Detect MT6835 After MTK PreLoader Driver Installation
(13-12-2024, 05:20 PM)Lucky678 Hi,
For context, my Samsung A156E/DSN with MT6835 is stuck in bootloop and could not access Recovery, only Download mode. Now, I am trying to create a scatter file that I could use in SP Flash Tool.
I have manually installed the driver (COM23 in the picture) for MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM in preparation for this process https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-46323.html. However, my device is still not detected by SP Flash Tool v5.1924 and SP Flash Tool v6.2316.
Currently, the device is still detected by Odin and still uses the SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device driver. I tried manually changing its driver to the MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM that I installed (COM19 in the picture), but it is still not detected by either SP Flash Tools.
What am I missing here? Please help.

Thanks for your response.
Yes, I have initially tried Odin-flashing all compatible roms on the internet but to no avail--still either bootloop or DL mode only. I assume it's the enabled MTK Secure Boot (pic) that is hindering the flashing, which why I tried the below methods:
1. For SP Flash Tool: MT6835 is currently not supported by the following "latest" versions: v5.2216, v5.1924, and v6.2316.
2. For MTK Client: I cannot make the device enter either preloader or BROM mode since it can only access Download Mode or perpetually bootloop. I tried draining the battery and connecting it to PC from a charging screen, but it was still not recognized.
Error: Preloader - [LIB]: Status: Handshake failed, retrying...
3. For MTK Bypass: Stuck in Waiting for device after running main.py. Either way, MT6835 does not have any available payloads from github at this moment.
If anybody can shed a light on this, I'll be very glad to hear your thoughts.

How did it get stuck in a bootloop and did Odin flashing complete?
(09-01-2025, 11:38 AM)Lucky678After flashing with Odin, reboot to recovery and factory reset.(31-12-2024, 01:34 PM)maxpayne(17-12-2024, 08:46 AM)Lucky678 ..

I flashed a Magisk-patched stock AP. And, yes, all instances of Odin flashing were successes. I've tried all available binary 4 firmware for A156E/DSN.
