Hello. I tried restore IMEI to my LG v50, but log shows me next:

250-72-0,IMEI Write,1
250-72-1,IMEI Read,invaild response - 000000000000000

phone was chip erased with LGUP..
I have backups of FTM, modem a/b, abl a/b and sid a/b

Can I do something without Medusa or other box? It`s too expensive (

I have a T-Mobile V40. What's the worse thing that could happen if the process of changing IMEI via LGUP fails?

Would it simply give error and revert back to the original IMEI?
Or it could brick the phone?

Nothing,as long as you have the correct firmware when using it for that model of V40.Have you tried going in the engineering menu and looking under MID and see if you can change it there? If so,what was the IMPL?0 OR 1?It will need to be 0 before you can change it.

It will unless you use the Putty method
