This guide will explain how to setup Smart-Clip II Box. The same procedure would apply to a Sigma Box.

Steps to setup Smart-Clip 2 Box


Follow the steps below to setup Smart-Clip 2 box

  1. Open the sigma box drivers folder and run both the setup.exe and Alcor Micro Smart Card Reader Driver.msi contained in the latest driver's folder

  2. Open the FTDI folder, right-click ftdibus.ini and select Install. Do the same for ftdiport.ini

  3. install smartclip2setup. At the final stage (where you see Finish), connect the box to the PC

  4. You should see a prompt that says Settings up a device. We're setting up Smart Card . Wait till its done

  5. Once its done, you should see another prompt which says Device is ready

  6. Tick Launch Smart-Clip 2 then click Finish

  7. Wait while the tool comes up

  8. Once the setup / activation dashboard comes up, click Update S-Card Firmware

  9. Wait while the firmware is updated. The software should reboot to the main Dashboard

Important Notice
The procedure also applies to a Sigma box.

Quote:In this video tutorial, I'll be explaining how to setup smart-clip 2 box. You need to have the hardware box, the drivers and the setup. I'll link to these in the description. First I'm going to extract and install the drivers. OK, I'm done with drivers. Now I'm going to install the setup. Now you connect the... tick Launch Smart-Clip 2 but before you click on Finish, connect the box to the PC and then wait for it to get detected. You can see its setting up. You can launch smart-clip 2. Alright, now you click on Update S-card Firmware. This will update your firmware and activate the card. Make sure you have an internet connection on the PC. The software is going to restart so just wait for it to come back on. Alright, that's it. You can begin activating your packs and using your box. That's how to setup smart-clip 2 box.
