Here's a collection of Xiaomi Qualcomm firehose programmer files. You may need these programmer files to perform tasks such as flashing in EDL mode without requiring an authorized Xiaomi account. Just because your Mi Account is bound to Xiaomi Mi Flash tool doesn't mean you can flash.
An authorized Mi Account is usually required for flashing MIUI Xiaomi devices and could help bypass Mi Account lock. With these files (for corresponding models), you wouldn't require one to perform these tasks.

you can try using the file for S2 listed above, it has same chipset as yours and might just work
give feedback if it does

Thanks, I'll give it a try. BTW, can u tell me how to know if the device is A1 or 5X, since I read that A1 is on EMMC and 5X is on UFS and if using QIFL then we must choose between those before flash.

info gathered online suggests that they both have the same hardware, which means both should use emmc
