[Please help] MT6779
(21-06-2020, 10:15 PM)kanadali i need to create scatter file for oukitel wp7 MT6779 and backup full firmware before i even turn on the phone (still waiting for the phone to arrive). i checked WWR MTK but chipset is not listed, was going to add into template.ini but i did not want to do something wrong so wanted to ask here to professionals.
i also found a rom on needrom and downloaded it, seems like original but i dont know if i can trust these files because it is uploaded on 02/27/2020 , how can they upload the original rom of phone when phone is even not on the market yet?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can add the chipset to wwr
you could also verify the build number of the firmware (use method 7 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16005.html ) you download and compare it to the build number of your phone

oh and the number 2 tells wwr to create a scatter file of the second version i.e scatter file version 1.1.2
