Guys help me all my apps in windows have a shield like icon on them i cant now install them on pc from my external drive when i click on the application its asks for administrative permission then i permit it but it stops there it does not continue to install i have windows 8 below is a vlc picture with it

show the properties of the file you're trying to install
does the same thing happen to other executables on the hdd?
does the same thing happen to other executables you download?

If so then your pc is affected with a virus, you’ll need to install an antivirus to perform deep scan or reinstall windows.
What version of OS is on your pc?

get an antivirus program and perform a full system scan OR boot-time scan OR reinstall or reset windows
