Latest update X3non... I have been able to unlock bootloader eventually. I have also patched and flashed my boot.img but using root checker, it says my device is not properly rooted....Also tried using twrp porter v1.6 to get custom recovery but device will not boot to recovery. Any assistance???

disable dm_verity by flashing empty vbmeta @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32719.html
then patch recovery.img and get root using the same technique @ https://www.hovatek.com/blog/how-to-gain...rk-go-kc1/ ; ensure to use stock recovery image from your backup

Thanks for the guide so far, i am making progress. Now i have twrp installed (happy). I flashed su zip on the device nad its successful but rebooting the device i dont see su app and root checker still says not rooted...

flash latest magisk zip instead of su zip

Got temp root but noticed that some apps cant be uninstalled, something about system mount.

you can remount system to rw then remove the apps (no guarantees if this won't brick your device)

mount -o rw,remount /system_rootor temp. remove the apps (they'll return whenever you factory reset the phone, the command doesnt require root access or remounting system either) and to get app package name, see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-26853.html
