(08-08-2021, 11:50 PM)Fred Monteiro I'm trying to install a common app like system app in System/priv-app. I've always managed to do this on my Android 9 (I'm still on it, haven't changed anything, it's the same phone). I just put the apk inside Priv-app, modify some permissions and restart the phone, then the magic happens. But now, on startup, Android deletes the folder created in Priv-app.

Even after following your method I still can't install the app referred to as system app. And like I said, I always did.

Your phone may be using encrypted file system if so all the changes may lost upon reboot. yo can try "FX File explorer" or if you have magisk you can try Lucky Patcher.
In FX file explorer enter /system folder, in menu there is an option "mount system r/w". After changes use the menu "mount system r/o". reboot

Lucky patcher has a module for system files for magisk. You can make any app to system app form Lucky patcher. even working on android 10.
Good luck.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial.
Does flashing empty vbmeta clear data? Do I have to reinstall everything after flashing it or it's OK?
My phone is tecno spark 4 air kc6 (MT6761 chip), bootloader unlocked.
