what's the device model and variant?
does the device show up in device manager?
and have you tried using a different usb cable or port or a different pc?

Thanks the process worked perfectly but whenever i switch off the device, i will have to go through the same process again to unlock. is there any permanent solutions? thanks in anticipation||||

no permanent solution, not unless you manage to find an unlocked firmware that'll work for the particular variant you have
