am running rooted Android 11 CAOS which I flashed system.img and boot.img bot via fastboot.
I flashed twrp 3.3.1, via rashr.apk but I encountered 0mb, after editing forceecrypt to encryptable now both internal and external storage is visible but am facing "Twrp fail to mount 'system_root' (system needs cleaning)"

are you running stock or custom rom?

It started to show the available size instead of the 0 mb error when I flashed force disabler DM verity zip to data partion using ex kernel manager APK, after that system seems a little scrambled. But still I can't access the folders in TWRP. TWRP is saying permission denied.

and because of this unable to mount storage and other , I try the whole the abe step but not work for me. if you have any suggestion i can do in recovery.img pls?

I wanted to remove the encryption of the userdata partition to have more convenience in switching between backup versions and to be able to read its contents even from PC.
Currently on the Umidigi Bison Pro I don't have a custom recovery (TWRP) installed so method 1 is the only one I can use.
I have identified the strings to be changed, including in the build.prop file,
but when I save the changes instead it saves a 0 Byte file.
I've also tried creating a copy of the files in sdcard, editing them and moving them even with different names but in the end it always results in a 0 Byte file.
The vendor partition (contained in super) results me mounted as RW and I can create new files but always having size 0 B.
I also tried with adb but the behavior is the same.
If I leave the files at 0B having replaced the original ones on the next reboot it freezes at the logo screen.
Does anyone have an explanation for this limitation? How can I get around it and edit the files?

I share to help those in my same situation and to reciprocate the site of the fantastic guides on Android modding (Mediatek in particular).
After many attempts I figured out why that behavior was happening: the filesytem of the partitions contained in "super" were set with 0 free bits (no free space).

Now I can correctly edit the system files and method 1 of this guide worked. Thank you!
