This guide will show you how to use Miracle Box to fix null IMEI / write IMEI to your Spreadtrum device. There are two methods below ensure to try both out incase one works for you where the other doesn't.
Requirements
- Download latest Miracle box / thunder
- Install Spreadtrum drivers on the PC
- Verify the chipset of your phone using Droid Hardware Info
- Ensure your phone has a valid Baseband (Settings > About > Baseband). Reflash the firmware if it's unknown
Steps to write IMEI onto spreadtrum device (SPD) using Miracle Box
Follow the steps below to write IMEI to a spreadtrum device using Miracle box
Method 1 - Without Pressing any Button- Launch Miracle box
- On Miracle box interface, press Control + M to enable IMEI
- Click the SPD tab
- Tick the check box beside write IMEI
- Select the phone's chipset type from the drop down bar
- Tick the check box beside your phone's chipset type
- Input the original IMEI into IMEI 1 & 2 boxes
- This step is optional, If you get an error about changing baudrate when you click the Start button then return back to this step to try other baudrates
- Click Phone Pinouts
- In the new window, set the values as follows then click 'Apply'

P2: USB D-
P3: USB D+
P4: GND
- Click Start
- You should now see >>> Scanning USB Serial port... . At this point, switch off the phone still with battery inserted then connect it to the PC via USB cord without holding any button
- The phone should get detected and you should now see >>> Enter test mode,wait...
- Once the process is complete, you should see 'ReImei Completed'
Method 2 - With Pressing a Button
- Launch Miracle box
- On Miracle box interface, press Control + M to enable IMEI
- Click the SPD tab
- Tick the check box beside write IMEI
- Select the phone's chipset type from the drop down bar
- Tick the check box beside 'Boot mode'
- Input the original IMEI into IMEI 1 & 2 boxes
- This step is optional, If you get an error about changing baudrate when you click the Start button then return back to this step to try other baudrates
- Click Start
- You should now see >>> Scanning USB Serial Port... . At this point, switch off the phone then connect it to the PC via USB cord while holding volume down button
- The phone should get detected and IMEI writing should begin
- Once the process is complete, you should see 'Done'
Important Notice
- Miracle Box requires a hardware box / dongle to work. Merely installing the setup and trying to run the tool (without having connected the hardware to the PC) won't work unless you are using a loader version
- Using the loader version might trigger an antivirus warning. While this might be a false positive, you are entirely responsible for allowing the loader to run on your PC
- For SPD drivers, you can try the drivers on the list @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-26658.html ; Certain drivers might work fine for certain SPD tools so ensure to try the different drivers on that list

Okay, so I'm going to launch miracle box tool
On the miracle box interface, i'll press control + M to enable IMEI
Click on SPD tab
Click the write IMEI button
Select your chipset from this drop-down box
Tick your chipset type
Change baudrate, this is depending if you get an error in miracle box
Write out the IMEI, the original IMEI of the device
Now, we'll change the pinouts
P2 will be USB D- , P3 will be USB D+
P4 will be GND
then we'll click apply
Now, i'll clicked the start button and connect the phone without pressing any buttons
So once it's done, you will get the message 'ReImei Completed'. Now, we can now power on the phone to check if the IMEI has been properly written
We can confirm that it is correct.

I'll take it that you've installed spreadtrum drivers on your PC. I'll start by launching miracle box tool.
On the miracle box interface, press Control key + M to enable IMEI.
You can see IMEI is enabled now, Click SPD tab, Click the check box beside write IMEI, Select the chipset of your phone from this drop down box.
Tick the check box beside 'boot mode'. Now, write the original IMEI of your device in the boxes then IMEI 2.
This last step is optional if your device gives you an error while doing this, you can change the baudrate.
Now after clicking Start button, you connect the phone while holding volume down button. So, we'll click Start button and we connect the phone.
So, right here you can see the old IMEI that was written on the device. You'll get the message 'Done' once the process is complete.
You can now disconnect your phone from the PC and confirm if your IMEI has been written properly.
