Finally I have root access! I even flashed system.img and it worked flawlessly.
You were right, the ROM backup was ok just that I will have to flash it using the write memory tab.

I will like to help others like me who have the same problem as I did by giving them my complete backup which contains a separate folder for the patched boot.img and magisk apk which I used to root my phone.
(of course u must be on the same build number as my backup)
The ROM is to be flashed by newer sp flashtool from v5.18xx upwards.( Using write memory tab)
(my build number is F1-VP510EFG-GO-180903V4)
