Hello!!!
I own an TECNO Spark K7+. Today I've got an OTA update from V98 to V180. I've tried multiple times to install it but I always end up with an eMMC error stating that eMMC has some unexpected files. In fact, I was rooted with TWRP installed but I've removed both of them before doing that update. I've downgraded the phone to V73 with SP Flash tool. But still getting the same error. I don't know if it means that I would have to repartition my phone cause that's not normal. I've flashed it multiples times but am still getting the same error. Please, tell me what to do.

It seems like you're trying to install an update.zip file that is incompatible with your device.
Where did you get the update.zip file and how did you know that it is for your exact build?

There's a problem with boot.img.

Hello!!!
I also have the same problem with my tecno cx pro with the build number CX-H501DEFG-N-170829V143. I have been trying to update it to this (CX-H501DEFG-N-171109V159) version through ota but it shows error during the update in recovery mode,
When I just bought the phone for the first time I did manage to update it, I later rooted it and after doing one or two things I bricked the phone to the extent that it could not even charge or show any signs of life. Luckily enough I managed to get the phone back to life using sp flash tools and it is working normally. Now I can't update it to the through ota.

Hello, it's an OTA update. Everytime I connect to WiFi and check for new update, it's pops up in the update menu and it download the update by itself from TECNO. An not trying to flash it, it's an OTA update.

That's what I thought first too, reflashed multiple times boot with SP Flash Tool with no success. Even formatted whole device but still getting the error. I don't know how to explain this. I unrooted it by uninstalling Magisk and it's removed root. After formatting, there is no more root, right?

Something isn't right...
1. How exactly did you format
2. Did you flash the full firmware and what's the build number of the full firmware you flashed (if you did)
3. Try flashing v158 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-20510.html

Another issue could be that source (update.zip) is older than target
