(21-06-2018, 05:46 PM)X3non  also if you tried flashing this rom dump you made using SPft, if your device truly is mt6755 then you'll get an error "chipset not match" or similiar

Ryfoz

I just tried to flash patched boot image (gotten from Magisk apk) but the error SP Flash Tool is saying "chipset mismatch: scatter 6755, device: 6750"

So I tried renaming the scatter.txt from MT67T55 to MT6750 but got the same error mismatch again

As for booting into recovery, I tried that but it got stucked at the android logo, nothing else was showing despite pressing the power button severally as well as the volume keys

What do I do?

(21-06-2018, 03:06 PM)innagee the full ROM is valid but you'll have to repeat the process to obtain valid scatter file else SP flash isn't going to flash the firmware obtained.
I'm getting chipset mismatch from SPFT chipset mismatch  scatter: MT6755, device: MT6750
How do I get MT6750 scatter text for the device considering the procedure I chose was MT6750 but it created MT6755 scatter.txt automatically with the ROM dump itself?

Pls note the patched boot is getting accpeted with the scatter  txt MT6755 and MT6750 (when I renamed it but I guess it was still MT6755 cos SPFT keep identifying it as MT6755 scatter.txt)

create scatter file for your chip type from the beginning of the tutorial, see point no. 3 on page 1.

Hi,

I completed this and ended up with all my files:

Code:

  1048576 frp   8388608 keystore    524288 lk.bin   8388608 logo.bin  38273024 metadata     11490 MT6735_Android_scatter.txt  33554432 nvdata   5242880 nvram   2097152 oemkeystore    524288 para    524288 pgpt    127356 preloader_wt98736b32_da1.bin   3145728 proinfo  10485760 protect1  10485760 protect2  16777216 recovery.img    524288 seccfg   6291456 secro.bin    524288 sgpt 3221225472 system.img   5242880 trustzone1.bin   5242880 trustzone2.bin

After flashing TWRP successfully I tried to adb sideload a ROM.

The rom appeared to send to the phone successfully, and the console output in TWRP reported no errors.

I tried this with lineage-14.1-20171223_034051-UNOFFICIAL-namath and DOT-N-v1.2-20180130-namath-OFFICIAL after rebooting both ROMs showed their boot logo and just stayed like that forever. Every now and again the clock in the top corner would appear along with a picture of a battery and simcard with a cross through it.

I suspect this is because I didn't restore my modem firmware. However as I did the above guide I want to extract that file from
Code:

/system/vendor/firmware/modem modem_1_lwg_n.img
from system.img and make a flashable zip I can install in TWRP. I'd like to avoid flashing the whole system.img back to the phone with SFPTool if I can avoid it. Is there some way I can do this on Windows or Linux?

I found this guide that uses unyaffs however when attempting that I was seeing:

Code:

Can't determine flash layout, perhaps not a yaffs2 image
