so latest verion of magisk with gionee a1 firmware boot.img after the patch leave the magisk app on device then im gonna have a rooted phone
You're going to flash the patched boot image then you will be rooted.

did everything still not rooted why is that? while i was flashing i type flashboot getvar unlocked and there was a :NO status is it because of that my phone is not rooted

I tried flashing the patched boot to infinix note 5 stylus using sp flashtool, the progress bar didn't show for over 20mins, then i stopped the flashtool process before unplugging the phone. Now the phone is not coming up, its just showing red led light when plugged.
Should i have used adb fastboot to flash boot instead?

Since no custom recovery needed, then the stock recovery will remain intact. Will this be of a help in OTA updates while the phone is rooted?
To perform a successful OTA update, you need more than just stock recovery. You need stock boot to unrooting and stock system to undo any changes you made to /system
So keep your stock boot.img and system.img handy
