The Infinix X5511 Hot 4 Pro (e.g X5511-H3716B-M-IN-170822V130) is an MT6735 powered phone running on Android 6 (Marshmallow)
How to root the Infinix X5511 Hot 4 Pro
There are two main steps:
- Unlocking the Bootloader of the Infinix X5511 Hot 4 Pro
- Flashing the Hovatek Philz recovery.img and SuperSU.zip
Procedure
- Download Philz for Infinix X5511 Hot 4 Pro ported by Team Hovatek @ https://mega.nz/#!ITZB0J5L!ssdKtetLeFvXQ...DI9h4oN-RQ
- Setup ADB and Fastboot on the PC using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-588.html
- Extract and copy the Philz recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe
- Unlock the Bootloader of the Infinix X5511 Hot 4 Pro using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-19578.html
- Download SuperSU 2.76.zip at https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B_-waNKLv...t=download
- Copy SuperSU.zip to both the phone’s internal storage
- Connect the phone to the PC via USB cord while switched On and boot it into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide; don't forget to re-enable OEM unlocking and USB Debugging)
- When the phone enters Fastboot, load the Philz recovery to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter
Code:fastboot boot recovery.img
- The phone should automatically boot into Philz recovery mode (depending on which you flashed)
- Do a full backup by tapping Backup (Recommended) then proceed with the guide once done
- If Philz offers to root the phone, select NO
- In Philz recovery, tap Install
- Navigate to the location of the SuperSU.zip on External SD card and select it
- Reboot the phone normally
- Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker
