How to root the Gionee P5W (Marshmallow)

The Gionee P5W is an MT6580 chipset powered Android phone running on Android 5 (Lollipop) and upgradable to Android 6 (Marshmallow). This rooting guide is for those running on Marshmallow.
How to root the Gionee P5W after upgrading to Android 6 (Marshmallow)
- Dump your firmware in scatter format using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
- Download SuperSU 2.78 @ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4S-Z72...ZuMlU/view
- Save SuperSU.zip to both phone storage and SD card
- Create a new folder named Hovatek on your PC
- Copy preloader.bin from your Miracle Box backup into the Hovatek folder
- Download Philz for Gionee P5W (Marshmallow) ported by Team Hovatek @ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4S-Z72...9RRzA/view
- Copy the Philz recovery.bin and scatter file from the Philz zip file downloaded above into the Hovatek folder, making peloader.bin, scatter file and recovery.bin (Philz) in the folder
- Flash the preloader.bin and recovery.bin using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14106.html
- Boot the phone into recovery mode (Vol up + Power) after flashing
- In Philz recovery, you use the Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select
- Select Install Zip
- Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.78.zip on the SD Card and select it
- Wait till flashing is complete
- If you are prompted to fix root, select No
- Reboot the phone normally
- Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...heck&hl=en

requirements-
sp flash tool- http://spflashtool.com/
twrp for gionee p5w - https://forum.xda-developers.com/android...5-t3432166
su zip- https://www.hovatek.com/redirect.php?lin...ZuMlU/view
usb cord
pc
procedure-
1)put the su zip in internal storage and sd card
2) flash the twrp file using sp flash tool just tick on recovery and click on download
3)then scitch off your phone and connect to your pc using usb cord
4)wait for a while till sp flash tool shows completed
5)now go to recovery using power button and volume up button then
6)click on flash and select su zip and just turn on your phone
7)and your phone is rooted
