How to root the Tecno Camon C9 Pro

The Tecno Camon C9 Pro is pretty similar to the Tecno Camon C9 except it has a 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. This guide will teach you how to root the Tecno Camon C9 Pro.
How can I root my Tecno Camon C9 Pro?
There are two main steps:
- Unlocking the Bootloader of the Tecno Camon C9 Pro
- Flashing the Hovatek Philz recovery.img and SuperSU2.76.zip
- Download Philz for Tecno Camon C9 Pro ported by Team Hovatek @ https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B4S-Z726V...t=download
- Setup ADB and Fastboot on the PC using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-588.html
- Extract and copy the Philz recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe
- Unlock the Bootloader of the Tecno Camon C9 Pro using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14288.html
- Download SuperSU 2.76.zip at https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B_-waNKLv...t=download
- Copy SuperSU.zip to the phone’s SD card (Its important you insert an SD card)
- Connect the phone to the PC via USB cord while switched On and boot it into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide)
- When the phone enters Fastboot, flash the Philz recovery image to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img- Once recovery is flashed in fastboot, hold the Volume up + Power button and don’t release till the phone reboots. When it does, select Recovery from the list to proceed to recovery mode
- In Philz recovery, you use the Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select
- Select Install Zip
- Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.76.zip on the SD Card and select it
- Wait till flashing is complete
- If you are prompted to fix root, select No
- Reboot the phone normally
- Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker

I followed all the steps in rooting a Techno Camon c9 Pro, and fastboot successfully flashed the recovery image. The problem is I cant boot into recovery now. It boots into the screen with a red exclamation mark.
What do I need to do I can successfully boot into recovery? Thanks in advance.

That's still stock recovery. Can your phone still boot to home screen?

Yes, the phone can boot fine, and works okey. So the custom recovery wasnt flashed?

That's still stock recovery. Can your phone still boot to home screen?
Yes. The phone boots okey, and works fine. This means I didnt flash the recovery right?
