This is a step by step guide on how to remove test mode and its watermark on a windows PC. Microsoft included test mode on windows so users can test programs without the need for an authentication certificate.

Steps to Remove Test Mode and its Watermark on a Windows PC


Follow the steps below to remove test mode and its watermark from a windows PC

  1. Launch CMD as admin (Click "Start menu" > type "CMD" > right click on command prompt and select "Run as admin")

  2. Type the command below and hit Enter key
    Code:

    bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF

  3. You should get an operation completed successfully message

  4. If the above command fails to turn off test mode, then try either of the two commands below
    Code:

    bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF

  5. Restart your PC


Important Notice
  • While in Test mode, some drivers installed on your PC might not functions properly so if you didn't purposefully turn on test mode, it's best you turn it off
