(18-11-2014, 04:54 PM)highbee Now the phone is on clockworkmod.. I tried using sp tool in formating the phone but there's no sign of connection.

I didn't ask you to format it in SP flash tool. thank God you didn't succeed at it.
please, confirm that you now have Clockworkmod recovery installed by listing what you see there.
don't take any action until I ok it please

nobody asked you to use SP flash tool to format your phone. you already have CWM recovery installed so put SP flash tool aside please .
Now, request for Tecno M5 CWM backup @ http://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-311.html

good, now, keep it well. flash clockworkmod recovery to the working p5 using this guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-455.html then make a cwm backup of it using this guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-472.html

1. let's know when you have the cwm backup also
2. list all the files in the !files to flash folder
