Front camera of tecno m9 not working

I noticed that the front camera of my tecno A3 isn't working
again, I checked out some sites online and saw that
reinstalling the custom camera of the phone might solve the
issue. This I tried but to no avail. Presently, my default
camera ain't installing on the phone again. Please how can I
make my front camera work again. Thank you.

1. If your stock / default camera app is missing, how did it get deleted
2. If your stock camera app is still installed, what error do you get when you try launching camera?

When the stock camera app was still installed, it showed no error. Only the icon to switch from the front to back camera was missing. Thank you. God bless.

1. Install a third party camera app and see if the front camera acts the same
2. Can you still get access to the stock camera apk or the phone's stock system.img backup?
