Hey i flashed it and rebooted into it
i think you got the brightness wrong. it was a black screen
i echo 255 to /sys/class/backlight/sprd_backlight/brightness and the screen turns on but stuck at the oem logo.
detected in MTP and in ADB. and reboots back to system normally. (adb shell twrp reboot)

I also noticed u fork the tree ,but that's a wrong one

Oh. Okay thanks for telling. i saw that some people fixed the oem logo issue with graphics_drm.cpp
the issue is
from log :
Atomic Commit failed, rc = -22
Using drm graphics.

TW_MAX_BRIGHTNESS := 2047
and path is /sys/class/backlight/sprd_backlight/brightness

hey, i fixed the OEM logo getting stuck and got into TWRP.
Touch isnt working.
Screen cant turn itself back on.

Try and see if data ( internal storage) is showing on PC
tested on tour build.
it shows up, but when i go to view whats in it keeps buffering (doesn't show whats in internal storage)
note: my M5A is decrypted. i decrypted it by editing vendor.img.

stuck at OEM logo with this build too, same atomic issue.
MTP is accessable and I can see the internal storage.
also in recovery.fstab or twrp.flags usb-otg is wrong I'm guessing.
it showing 4mb even though nothing in connected.
